About the Role:

As the Production Manager, you’ll oversee the full production process from manufacturing and printing through to despatch. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take charge of factory operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production and on-time delivery of goods. You’ll be managing a core team of 35 full-time employees, with an additional 20 temporary staff brought in during peak periods. Your leadership will be key to maintaining high standards while meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the production team, including direct reports such as the Manufacturing Manager and Print Manager.
• Oversee the performance of a wide range of machinery, including CNC, laser, wood, metal, and plastic-operating equipment.
• Manage production schedules to meet short lead times and adapt to high-pressure demands, particularly around public holidays (e.g. Christmas).
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure production goals align with overall business objectives.
• Ensure quality control and continuous improvement initiatives are in place to maintain high standards.
• Handle staffing requirements, including recruitment and management of temporary staff during busy periods.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely product deliveries.

Working Hours:

• Core hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Flexibility required during peak periods, including potential weekend and evening shifts.
