Modus Careers is on the lookout for an accomplished Commercial Finance Manager to join our client’s senior management team. It’s an ideal opening for an experienced Finance Manager with the ambition to progress towards a more strategic role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Craft budgets, forecasts, and models to aid project decision-making. Analyse project costs, revenue, and profitability for enhanced financial performance.

2. Project Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures, ensuring projects stay within budget. Analyse cost variances and take corrective actions when necessary.

3. Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Assess financial risks and advise senior management on contract terms.

4. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports, including project statements and cash flow forecasts. Provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards. Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Your Background:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ finance/accounting experience, preferably in project-based companies.
• Project finance and cost control expertise.
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
